Our iconic cast iron casseroles are made in much the same way as 100 years ago, starting with the best ingredients, including recycled iron and steel.
Details maintain our unrivalled legacy of quality craftsmanship, like breaking down each mould after use to ensure each piece is unique. The sand of the mould is reused in thousands of individual pieces.
THE CRAFTMAN'S TOUCH
Hewn from cast iron by skilled artisans, each piece passes through the hands of several craftsmen, scrutinising every curve and detail to ensure exemplary precision and durability.
What started with one colour in 1925, the original Volcanic, has since grown into the broadest range of colours in cookware, blending elegance and modernity with timeless and trendsetting hues.
Our cast iron casseroles are sprayed with a minimum of two layers of enamel and hand-finished to add colour and protect the piece inside and out.
Finally, each piece is hand inspected, and safety tested to the highest standards. Spare parts like knobs and handles are added for that finishing touch.
Since 1925, Le Creuset has evolved through various iconic designs and collaborations, continually innovating and appealing to new generations. Now, in 2025, we celebrate 100 years of craftsmanship with a special limited-edition colour.
A celebration of timeless design and culinary artistry, this beautifully crafted coffee table book captures a century of Le Creuset’s legacy. Every page reflects the innovation, craftsmanship, and unmistakable style that have defined Le Creuset for 100 years, making it a must-have for collectors, design enthusiasts, and passionate cooks alike.
