Rugged Matte Black Enameled Cast Iron
Each piece of cookware in the Alpine Outdoor Collection is crafted from our legendary enamelled cast iron, and completely encased in our proprietary rugged matte black enamel that is ready to use and requires no seasoning – the matte black enamel will develop a patina over time to enhance cooking performance. It delivers the superior heat distribution and retention you expect from Le Creuset enameled cast iron with none of the hassle of maintaining it, and makes outdoor cooking and entertaining a breeze.
Designed for Open Flame Cooking
The Alpine Outdoor Collection is specifically designed for cooking over an open flame, on both regulated and unregulated heat sources, up to 450°C. For open flame cooking, just be sure to keep the cookware a minimum of 2 inches above the flames. That means that you can use it on any grill, on a barbeque, over a cauldron and even in wood-fired ovens and some pizza ovens. It’s also compatible with gas cooktops, under the broiler, and for use in conventional ovens as well.
