- 180ml granulated sugar
- 4 tbsp golden syrup
- 4 tsp water
- 2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
- 150g dark chocolate, melted
Grease a tin or cast-iron casserole with baking spray.
Place sugar, golden syrup and water in a saucepan and stir over gentle heat until the sugar has dissolved. Bring to the boil, and boil for 7 minutes. Remove from the heat and quickly add the bicarbonate of soda (the mixture will froth). Stir quickly and pour into the prepared tin or casserole.
When hard, break into rough pieces.
Drizzle melted chocolate over the honeycomb and allow the chocolate to harden before serving.
