Braided Nutella Wreath
- 2 x 400g puff pastry sheets
- 350g Nutella
- 1 beaten egg
- 50g flaked almonds
Preheat the oven to 180°C. Grease a Le Creuset 26cm Signature Buffet Casserole.
Spoon Nutella on the two sheets of pastry. Spread evenly, leaving a clean 1,5 cm border around the edges. Roll the dough lengthwise. Use a sharp knife and cut the log in half lengthwise, leaving one edge uncut. Start braiding the two pieces, trying to keep the open layers exposed so that the cut ends remain on top.
Transfer both pastry sheets to the casserole dish, rolled into a wreath shape. Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle almonds on top. Place in the oven and bake for 40 – 45 minutes.
