Berry Compote

A popular topping, the recipe for this simple 6-ingredient berry compote should always be kept on hand, especially when entertaining. Serve this fresh and summery mix over frozen desserts, in a Le Creuset Footed Ice Cream Bowl.

INGREDIENTS

  • 100g blueberries
  • 100g strawberries, chopped
  • 100g raspberries
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • juice of 1 lemon
  • 50ml water

METHOD

Combine all the ingredients in a small saucepan and allow to simmer for 10 minutes until the sauce has reduced slightly.

Pour into a serving jug and allow to cool completely before serving on vanilla ice cream.
